We here at the Neil A. Kjos Music Company are thrilled to have all our friends from RPMDA in our home town of San Diego this May. The RPMDA board has come up with a fantastic program to elevate your business in 2019, but you won’t want to miss the great attractions San Diego has to offer either.
Close to your home base, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, you’ll find some fun local beach communities: Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and Ocean Beach. Rent a bike and cruise the boardwalk in Mission Beach for close to 3 miles of continuous ocean views or bring a towel or lounge chair to simply enjoy the sand and sun. Pacific Beach is known for its local night life, if you feel like a sunset drink by the beach, try out Tower 23 or Lahaina’s. Further south you’ll find Ocean Beach where you can walk the longest pier in San Diego. OB is also close to Cabrillo National Monument which has breathtaking views from La Jolla in the North all the way to Tijuana, Mexico in the South.
If you want to explore a little further away, take a cab or rideshare downtown to the Gaslamp district. This area is full of excellent bars and restaurants that surround Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres! Another short ride will take you to Balboa Park and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Balboa Park has too many attractions to list, but inside the park you’ll find an assortment of museums, hiking and biking trails, restaurants, theatres, a golf course, and if you’re feeling adventurous a walking archery course.
San Diego also has a great music scene and some local favorite venues include The Casbah, The Belly Up Tavern, The North Park Observatory, and The House of Blues. The historic Hotel Del Coronado is a must-see local landmark located on Coronado Island with its iconic gazebo shaped red roof. And if you like craft beer we’ve got you covered with over 185 local breweries.
We hope that 2019 is off to a great start, and we’ll see you San Diego this May!
