by Christie Smith, Alfred Music Company
Last year, we made a concerted effort to improve the design, frequency, and content of our newsletter. As a result, we published our newsletters monthly and expanded the stories to include information from a wide variety of members. We realize how important this newsletter is, not only as a resource for industry news but also to share ideas and keep our association connected throughout the year.
Our future newsletters will contain stories from owners, managers/buyers, print specialists and sources outside our organization. We will keep you regularly updated with NAMM’s advocacy efforts, and we will feature topics including technology, accounting, sales, purchasing, copyright, and much more. You’ll read stories from our international friends, stories of history and human interest, and for fun, we’ll challenge you with some puzzles! We will also feature our dealers and publishers within RPMDA so we can get to know each other better.
One of the more important new segments we have started is Print Music Industry News. If something big is happening in the print music business, we want to be able to announce it!! Send us a link to your press release and we will get the word out.
These are just a few of the exciting and interesting stories we will be bringing you in the coming months. If you are interested in writing for our newsletter or if you have suggestions about something that could make our newsletter better, we want to hear about it.
Please send your emails to Christie Smith at email@example.com or call me at 1-800-292-6122 x221. As the Newsletter Coordinator, I have a small team working with me, including our Executive Director, Richard Rejino, who edits and produces the newsletters for us. Many thanks to him for always stepping up when we need him to.
Thank you very much for all you do to contribute to our association and for sharing your knowledge to help our industry grow.
