Most stores that sell print music make most of their money from the sales of instruments and other items. Often the owners and managers of these stores lack the experience (or time) needed to thoroughly train their staff in how to satisfy the print music needs of their customers. To address this issue, Dr. Steven Estrella of Shearspire, Inc. has developed a new NAMM University course for music retail sales professionals, "Profit from Print: All You Need to Know About Print Music," with input from RPMDA members. This course presents essential knowledge and skills regarding the print music industry. The course is divided into 12 lessons, two quizzes, and one final exam. The entire course experience takes less than two hours. The lessons cover the following topics:

1. An explanation of the value of print music.
2. A description of the different types of print music
3. Other products associated with print music
4. The people who make up the industry
5. The various customer types
6. Making money in the print music industry
7. Copyright Law
8. The retailer's role
9. The employee's role and responsibility in selling print.
